The last spring lasts 200 days. No one in the world complained for this, as it was a pleasant weather for them. However, the more academically inclined people, including you, has wondered. Why would The Fractured Nexus exhibit such strange climate pattern this year? Is it something nefarious? Or something that can be explained, scientifically?
Well whatever it is, you know that two guilds has been looking into this phenomenon. One guild is the Astral Guidance Association and the other is the Underdark Companions. Both guild has different ways to approach the question, and both are hiring hands to help them in gather data in the field.
The Astral Guidance Association approaches the problem scientifically. They believe that there's something wrong with the sun. To carefully observe the sun, they have devised a magical telescope, and they need people to climb some of the tallest mountains in Upponia and install the telescope and observe the sun.
The Underdark Companions believe that there's something insidious that would come after this blissful long spring. They need adventurers to visit dangerous ruins all over Upponia to measure. . . "Etheredge" levels in those ruins to find out if there's any evil beings that would emerge.

This Is Troublesome
Spring that is too long, summer that is too short, and now we're almost fall already! I'm not sure if the winery are able to hold on unto their stock, this might create some new interesting flavour, but it sure kills the other ones that is usually available, now i have to think about how to mix new drinks with this change. But that aside, this is clearly unusual situation isn't it, and from the nature of it, could be magical, can this be a result of olden war ruin being activated again? Surely releasing that much ether into the air will make noticeable change in the climate isn't it? Maybe it is time to take The Underdark Companion on their offer, if there is indeed a change caused by something in the ruins, surely we can get reading of 'Etheredge' that is all over the place

For Mortime Mofus, the spring has always been a great season of all time. Yet, the last one lasted far too long. Perhaps, there is something that tries to shake the balance of all things as it should be. Mort has no tendency for moral goodness, yet he is inclined to check the reason why the climate is weird. Why? Perhaps, there lies his greatest hope and wish of all time: the key to successfully grow his beard. The dwarf sets out to search for the information behind all this. That is the time he knows of the Astral Guide Association. The guild asks him to do something quite extraordinary all by himself: to climb the highest point in all of Upponia and install the magical telescope the guild entrusts him with and observe the heat summer sun. The hurdle is too high for him, yes. Mort is quite of a weak dwarf, both in physical and mental areas. Yet, he still wants to do this solo quest. Perhaps, atop the highest mountain, he can gain what is he dreaming for a very long time. Perhaps, there lies some useful herbs and minerals that can be used in his new potions. Perhaps, he can be a better person and grow out. Mortimer Mofus, the weak-willed dwarf, takes the request of Astral Guide Association. Attributes: - Learning: 5

For Einword{DAY 267} You went ruins-diving. Out of all the ruins that the Underdark Companion has pointed out, all of them are deadly. You managed to come out alive from the ruins, after your feeble attempt to fight back against whatever has claimed the ruins as their habitat. Necessary Feat : Attack Specialization (any tiers) You suffer from 14 Lethal Damage
However during your ruins-diving, you did manage to gather all the necessary data on the "Etheredge" levels in the ruins. You deliver the data back to the Underdark Companion, but not before you copy the data for yourself. When you ask about what the "Etheredge" signifies, they tell you that the Etheredge levels are usually high if a higher being with evil and malicious intent has surfaced. Basically those beings can "poison" the Ether around them. The ruins are the places where some of the higher being are sealed. The Underdark Companion figured that, maybe a malicious higher being is behind all this climate anomaly. The Underdark Companion pays you handsomely. 1 WP gained
You analyze the data that you got for yourself. And you found out that, while there's no signs of any malicious higher being surfacing from the any of ruins, you do find out trace amounts of. . . Foreign Ether. These are Ether that does not come from the Fractured Nexus. Further study of the Ether has revealed that these Foreign Ether had not existed until this year. Which you can conclude that these Foreign Ether is the cause of this climate anomaly. You also find out some unique property of these Foreign Ether. When put near an abundant source of Ether, the Foreign Ether starts to pull the the source towards it. You are sure you can make something useful out of this. Necessary Feat : Learning Gained Blueprint : Force Pull Gauntlet Gained Blueprint : Ether Level Detector
You only have so much Foreign Ether to craft (or commission other character to craft) one of the above items Stats will be posted later

For Mort{DAY 270} You climbed every mountains, every elevation that the Astral Guide Association tells you to. This takes a lot of effort, but fortunately you just barely have enough strength to carry on. Necessary Attribute : Fortitude 3 You gain 3 stacks of Fatigued
After setting up the telescopes and gather all observational data you are required to, you copied the data for yourself before handing it over to the Astral Guide Association. They tell you that, the guild suspects that there's something wrong with the planet's orbit. They think that an altered orbit causes this climate anomaly. After handing over the data the guild pays you handsomely. You gain 1 WP
Not satisfied by the guild's answer you took upon yourself to see what is really happening. Looking over the data, there is indeed an alteration to the orbit. The planet drifts a bit further from the sun, and then fixes back its orbit after a while. It's as seem that there's something pulling away the planet for a while. You do find an asteroid that passes by the planet. The duration of the asteroid's passing by matches what happened to the planet's orbit. As it passes by, the planet gets pulled closer to the asteroid, and as it leaves, the planet went back to its original orbit. But something is amiss. An asteroid that size shouldn't have enough gravity to pull something bigger like this planet.
You also find something else. By analyzing the data, you can figure out what type of magic that's used in the magical telescope. It is some sort of detection magic. You are confident that you can replicate the effect by concocting a potion. Necessary Attribute : Learning Gained Blueprint : Potion of Darkvision Gained Blueprint : Potion of Weakness Detection
