Daraglin Kalikhtar. Born somehere out there on the roads, being the son of a travelling merchant. Never really knew my mother since she passed when i was.. 4? I don't remember. Most of my childhood is filled with travelling and seeing the world. Meeting new people. Inherently good to unforgivingly selfish, wealthy to scraping the barrel, generous and kind-hearted to probably the incarnation of greed and pride.
By the time i was 19 my father met up with a fellow traveling trader. A dwarf. He's an interesting fellow the dwarf. Wearing bandoliers with pouches and various tools that i don't recognize. Wearing glasses that is overly complicated and impractical. A little eccentric in his ways but carries within himself an aura of intellect and creativity. He joined my father to travel together and over time i started to learn his craft of creating and tinkering with items to imbue them with Ether. I learned the basics of it over the course of a few months and i'm able to create simple things from the skills i've learned. It took me a few years to finally be able to manipulate Ether by myself. I'm not much of a spellcaster myself looking from the pace that i'm learning at but he said to me that he's "working on something" to help people with "limited natural Ether manipulation capabilities" learn how to cast spells.
It was a quite night. My father was checking the supplies and the dwarven tinkerer was working in his mobile workshop/caravan/laboratory. I was tending the fire cooking dinner. I saw my father walking towards the tinkerer while he's working on something. But suddenly an explosion. An Ether explosion. Last thing i remember seeing was the tinkerer covering the explosion with his body, trying to contain it, and my father leaping towards me, trying to either run or protect me, and a blinding green light. It was so bright. I instinctively covered my eyes. The explosion was massive. I don't remember anything after that but i woke up shortly after (judging from the green flames still burning) and i look down and realize lost my hand in the process. Right elbow and below. Gone. Funny thing it was painless. Either that or the shock numbed the pain.
I don't remember much after that night. At least the first few weeks. All that is left from them is whatever the tinkerer's was working on and my father's shield. I just took the shield for myself and store the source of the explosion inside his mobile workshop. Just in case it exploded again. I know a travelling band of adventurers found me later that night and helped me clean up the mess. They offered their accompaniment to the nearest city. Geiselburg. Quite a long ways from here but with some companions i wouldn't say no. There are guilds there too that might inquire my services. I sold my father's caravan and the goods there and converted the tinkerer's (which is surprisingly fine) into one that i can pull by myself so i can travel around the city offering my services as a crafter/tinkerer. When i was converting the mobile workshop i got my first opportunity to really look at what was the tinker working on that night. It was some sort of a crossbow but without the "bow" that's imbued with various runes and magical-mechanical circuits. It doesn't come with a manual unfortunately but it's obvious this is the "Spellslinger" that he's been working on. I think i can modify it to replace my hand.

[Day 317] : Met some other adventurers looking for a job. Tracked down a ghost dog. Defeated ghost dog. Not a bad day overall. Hope the old man's better. Met Han after some time. Apparently the old man's son. Heard some rumors about him. Subtly reminds him. He doesn't seem to mind. Still a bit of a jerk. Real name probably "Heins Al Novare". Could be useful. I need to work on the pen on this multi-tool. Can't write more yet.
[Day 319] : Start investigating about Han and his slavery business. Start with the merchants. Hope they will help.
[Day 323] : Finished investigating. Han is powerful and has connections in high places. Han is also good man outside of slave business. But dangerous so don't bother him. Ravenclaws is also a slavery organization. Work with Han. Han handles humanoid and Ravenclaws handle the rest. Nobles buy these Ravenclaws non-human slaves at high price.
[Day 348] : Got hired to safeguard a protest. Met Scylla after a while. Also 2 others. Went there and kept the demonstration safe. Our employer gave us vague instructions. Did not what he wanted. Wants different outcome. Attacked one of us. We attacked and neutralize him. Walk away with no money. No problem. Modification to pen multi-tool not working. Hurts more now. But better handling. Stop write now.
[Day 351] : Visited Affinity Biochemistry Combine's HQ today. Amazing place. Like insanely amazing. Great members too. Lady Arina invited me to join. Gladly accepted her offer. Can now work more on my prosthetic. They have great facilities. Might need to store my cart/workshop somewhere. I still need arcane workshop. Looking forward to working with them. Going to work on my pen multi-tool now. Need more calibration.
[Day 359] : HOTPOT!
[Day 363] : Went to Winter Bazaar. Brought my cart. Met Scylla again. Also a good Cat Nopon. Got my things stolen. Do some tracking. Got to some hairy moments. Caught the thief. Turns out she was a little shapeshifter girl. Talented but misguided. Sent her to the Learner's Guild for further education. Surprised by the amount of output the Spellslinger can do. Reminder not to do that very often. The pen multi-tool actually feels better now. Still couldn't write too much. At least it doesn't hurt anymore. Will work on it more. Oh and discovered an idea for something. I'll write it down later.
[Day 365] : Start crafting Stun Stone. Gonna gather some materials first. Refinement should be simple.
[Day 384] : Done making 4 Augmenting Stun Stone. Now to sleep. Working non-stop for 3 weeks.
[Day 390] : Hairy day. Investigated a poisoned well in a village. Tried out multiple theories. Seems like it is poisoned. I need rest. Lizardfolk and Village made deal. Long day.
[Day 403] : Arina gave us a task to develop some ether based things. For adventurer's safety. I have a feeling that the ink will do. Oh and i think i've fixed my Multi-Tool Pen. This is great!
[Day 412] : WOOOHOOO! We quite literally created a quest ranking system for adventurers. My workshop is a mess though.
[Day 432] : I shall not speak of this day ever again. I have to buy new pants.
[Day 433] : Start learning Ponese from Boreas. Should be fun.
[Day 458] : Mastered Ponese. That was fun. I need to go out and trade.
[Day 540] : Return to adventuring. Investigated a manor. It is basically Eldritch Horror Central there. Things were going relatively smooth. I need to reinforce my apparel for extra protection and calibrate my Spellslinger. I think i can only afford a [WL2 : D2F3 Medium Armor] and start modifying my normal apparel. [WL CD ends at 554].
[Day 610] : FOUND MY JOURNAL! Goodness me it's been a while since i lost it... Why did i found it in the ABC Hospital out of all places?
[Day 630] : Herbs gathering. Sure.
