Bastion Tenebrion, The Annoying Transcriber
Campaign Rules
Race : Literal Bat
Languages : Common
Background
Bastion was just a bat. A normal bat living a normal life, really. Eating fruits, looking threatening with his sharp fangs and all. And yet, there was always weird things happening to Bastion as he goes about his life. Most of which pertain to how weird normal animals perceive him. They somehow become more submissive or, let's say, less reluctant around him. This is how he has always go when it comes to food or anything carnal-related. Just flirt a little with a female bat and she will do anything for him, or get a fruit from a bee and they will just give it to you nicely and etc.
But with this weird power however comes cockiness and arrogance. He began perceiving himself as a master of manipulation and so he tried fighting a bigger fish, such as say, a certain Cat Beastfolk. He tried with his mind powers to get the lion to give him his food but quickly found out that his influence was inferior against someone like them and nearly got himself killed, his wings and body bruised and at the seams of tearing apart.
In a very lucky twist of fate however, he was at the vicinity of a certain scarlet-eyed warlock human girl, the first time he ever actually saw a human, much less someone as young, or at least young-looking as her. He was immediately cared for by the warlock and somehow connected with the girl, until eventually the girl linked him with her consciousness and language, and the bat became truly more than just a bat. Bastion, needless to say, has become a conscious, talking literal bat, his mind powers growing exponentially with the link Erika gave him. And in his first-ever profound showing of humility and gratefulness, he swore fealty to be forever with the girl and become his transcriber, albeit an annoying one.
That was when the bat realized the girl wanted to call him something besides "Bat." She began to talk about one of the few nice man she ever met during her...cruel days at this dark gathering. Only known as Bastion. And that's what the bat began to call himself. And as if the name struck him whole, he started thinking of a name too, for the girl, who also surprisingly didn't have one, or at least she thinks. Somewhere within her mind is... a name, hidden and obscured so that even she don't remember or know it. Erika, and Tenebrion.
Now named Bastion Tenebrion, he walked his life alongside his new lady, or madame, or what have you. Hopefully he can lead a better life alongside his...master who seems to think she has no purpose yet in this world...
