A reclusive widow and ex-medic soldier, Deandra has lots of experience in the field, bad or good, despite her surprisingly young age. At age 20, she was enlisted forcefully by her city for the war up North partly due to her latent magical abilities, discovered during when she was in her early age and accidentally makes an egg out of thin air. Due to her rare, powerfully subtle abilities, she was enlisted as a medic soldier, creating foods and rations out of thin air for the soldiers to eat, all the while her magical creation abilities also indirectly boosts her body's agility, enhancing her movements and making it faster for her to bring rations from one camp to the next, all the while still strong enough to knock down a few soldiers or two.
A few weeks into military service she found herself a husband, and from there, a son, all of them growing together in the long war, until 4 years later when a terrible tragedy struck. The camp she was in is raided by the enemy soldiers, causing the death of both her husband and son. Even after 5 years of their death, she has never been able to move on, greatly affecting her physicality, making her sickly and easily tired. Despite this however, she has never lose sight of her true self, still just as saintly and beloved as ever to many people who know her, and she's still as strong as ever, able to knock down anyone with just her raw fists. Due to her past life as a soldier, words laced with intent are necessary to survive in such a war-heavy setting, so she always knows the right word to say to make sure things are going fine.
When she's not sequestering herself in her home, she's outside playing with little children, entertaining them with a puppet she made in wake of her son's demise, a little masked puppet she calls Pinot. But one day, when she was sleeping, as her windows are open, she feels a massive thunderstorm cracking very close to her, waking her up to see...her puppet suddenly walking around without any help whatsoever, as if the thunder from the rain itself gives the puppet sentience. And in a few days, the puppet knows how to speak...only it speaks with other person's tone. Voice. Anyone else but Deandra herself.
Another few days later, she receives a mysterious letter. The only words in the letter is:
With how mysterious the last few days in Deandra's life has been, she knows that this must be fate. That she is led to...wherever Geiselburg is. Or whatever it is. With her determined, if ill spirit, and the living, loving puppet beside her, Deandra makes her way into Geiselburg. Perhaps the sprawling city would know the reason of the war that costs her family's life...
