Ecology of Dwarves
Karak Eight Peak is a dwarven Kingdom deep beneath the eight peak mountain. The town serve as seat of power for the ruling Elder Council where each clan assign their clan Elder as representative there. The council job is to advise the Mountain King on any issues at hand. While the Council hold great power, the mountain king can at any moment override or veto any decisions they made. This is done rarely if ever during a tenure of Mountain King, as doing so will signify mistrust and a sign of Power hungry in a leader.
Karak Eight Peak is one of the prominent dwarven hubs since the fall of Karak Khazdum. As of now, the kingdom is lead by Dalorril, descendant of Durin as the patriach of Durin Clan.
The dwarves are proud Folk, they pride themselves on their craftsmanship. Their city spread far and wide under mountain range, illuminated either by stream of lava flowing through their barrows or using enhanced mage-light. They divide themselves into clans, each swearing fealty to the Elder Council and mountain king to be permitted a dwelling inside Karak Eight Peak.
They are famed artisan and arms-crafter. It was said that the Divines themselves made dwarves to serve as crafters in the army against the Primes. Whether it is true or not, the craftsmanship of dwarven artists are renowned across the realm. Using metal and gemstone gained from the depths of earth unreachable by few other races, combined with their steel bound work ethics and ancient runes. The dwarves are capable of creating something truly grand be it something beautiful beyond belief or a true force of devastation.
